Good Corporate Citizenship

A targeted approach to good corporate citizenship benefits all parties involved
Good Corporate Citizenship (GCC) refers to the social engagement of companies who pursue medium and long-term corporate strategies based on responsible action and whose active engagement as "good corporate citizens" with the local civil society or, for example, with social, ecological or cultural issues extends beyond their immediate business activities.
GSW was founded in 1924 and therefore forms a part of over 80 years of Berlin tradition. GSW is aware of its social responsibility to Berlin, its citizens and their living environment and has for many years been a strong supporter of projects in Berlin aimed at the common good. In this context, the focus of the commitment by GSW is on projects that help promote a responsible attitude to the environment among children and young people and highlight the value of mutual esteem and respect. Another central aspect of corporate responsibility activities is the active promotion of the balanced development of city districts and neighbourhoods.
